ABOUT
Martin Katz

Beverly Hills jewelry designer Martin Katz has been recognized for over three decades for his refined artistry and discerning eye. Early in his career, while working in estate and vintage jewelry, he turned to designing his own pieces when procuring the quality and character in estate pieces he was seeking became challenging. After a few short years creating his own collections, his design jewelry aesthetic and craftsmanship drew the attention of a worldwide following and the Hollywood elite.

He then shattered the barriers of the Hollywood Red Carpet in 1992, by becoming the first Independent Jeweler to adorn celebrities at the Oscars and step onto that international stage. His continuous brand presence on the Red Carpet ignited the way jewelry was broadcast globally, paving the way for international jewelry brands to follow in his footsteps. Over the years, Martin has adorned international figures as well as over 500 celebrities, including Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, Jessie Buckley, Salma Hayek, Sterling K. Brown, Kylie Minogue, Kieran Culkin, Angela Bassett, Sandra Bullock, Gillian Anderson, Christina Ricci, Zoe Kravitz, and Sharon Stone, among many others.

His refined designs and eye for exceptional stones reflect a distinctive elegance in contemporary jewelry derived from his affinity for the Art Deco period. Each piece is meticulously crafted as a “one only-piece unique” or in limited edition with each individually signed and numbered. His jewelry has found its way into the collections of the world’s most discerning jewelry enthusiasts, from heads of state to captains of industry and finance. Highlighting his career in high jewelry, in 2025 Martin Katz was invited to participate in the inaugural Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie in Monaco as the only Independent American jewelry designer selected among eleven of the world’s most prestigious high jewelry maisons — including Boucheron, Dior, Bulgari, Chanel, Chopard, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co among others.

Martin’s design prowess extends beyond jewelry, as international brands eagerly seek partnerships and collaborations with him paving the way for iconic creations such as Victoria’s Secret’s $5 million Black Diamond Fantasy Bra modeled by Adriana Lima, Ray-Ban jeweled sunglasses worn by Celine Dion, and Estee Lauder’s $1 million DKNY Golden Delicious Perfume Bottle and the 5000 sq/ft Penthouse at the Lotte NY Palace Jewel Suite designed by Martin Katz.

His most recent collaboration is with Italian sculptor Andrea Roggi. Together they created Energia della Vita, a sculptural work centered around a jeweled “Mother Earth” sphere set with nearly 2,000 precious gemstones. The work debuted at the historic Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, followed by an exhibition in Venice, before being on exhibit at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris. A smaller limited-edition series derived from the original work was later introduced at Galerie Bartoux in Paris in February 2026, featuring a jeweled sphere handcrafted in yellow gold and set with 368 diamonds and colored gemstones in a seasonal day and nighttime sky motif.

After over 20 years in his boutique in Beverly Hills, Martin redefined his approach to servicing his clientele and relocated to a private Penthouse Atelier in the iconic Fred Hayman building. He now works privately and enjoys the personal attention and time he can offer his clientele. This marks another milestone in a journey that continues to define modern glamour in high jewelry and “known by those who know.”

“I have always enjoyed creating beautiful feminine pieces. My wife Kelly is my muse. She continues to be a source of inspiration and has been a great partner in supporting me on this journey. I often look to her to offer her perspective on my designs, as she has the same discerning taste as the Martin Katz clientele. Her style is tasteful and definitive.”
