A cinematic celebration of fashion, glamour, and film

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the worlds of couture, cinema, and high jewelry converged for VOGUE WORLD: HOLLYWOOD—a historic celebration of fashion interpreted through iconic films and the imaginative realms they inspire. This year’s ambitious concept explored: What happens when contemporary designers reinterpret or reanimate legendary costume moments from Hollywood history?

While last year’s Place Vendôme show celebrated the 100-year history of fashion and sport, the fourth annual Vogue World returned stateside to Los Angeles, where they set their sights on the film industry. Though the famed Paramount Studios lot served as the backdrop for iconic films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Titanic, and The Godfather, it took on a new role: a runway.

Vogue celebrated the rich collaboration between fashion and film, as models and actors alike hit the runway in a mix of legendary movie costumes and fashion inspired by Barry Lyndon, Marie Antoinette, Dune, Black Panther, Orlando, Edward Scissorhands, Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, and The Great Gatsby.

For Beverly Hills jeweler Martin Katz, long synonymous with red-carpet glamour, this event marked a defining moment—an opportunity to collaborate with Vogue and legendary Italian costume designer Milena Canonero, whose visionary approach has shaped some of film’s most unforgettable worlds.

Act 3: Historical Heroines: A Collaboration Between Fashion, Cinematic History and High Jewelry Artistry

Milena Canonero, who has received four Academy Award wins and nine nominations, is celebrated for her ability to transform historical reference into a living, breathing attitude. Vogue once observed that when Canonero costumes a film, the result is far more than visual beauty—“they tell a fashion story.” For Vogue World: Hollywood, her creative dialogue with Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière reawakened the sensuous, rococo richness she once explored for Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon and later in Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette.

To complete these worlds, Canonero turned to Martin Katz, whose handcrafted jewels have illuminated Hollywood for more than three decades. The partnership produced adornments that were not merely accessories, but extensions of character, narrative, and fantasy.

A Scene-Stealing Moment of Historic Glamour in Martin Katz Jewels

One of the evening’s most transporting presentations was inspired by Kubrick’s 1975 masterpiece Barry Lyndon. French model Nastassia Legrand appeared in a breathtaking reinterpretation of the gown once worn by Marisa Berenson, designed originally by Canonero and Ulla-Britt Söderlund. For Vogue World, the design was meticulously executed by Tirelli Costumes, with a hat created by Laboratorio Pieroni under Canonero’s direction.

The evening featured model Nastassia Legrand, whose look highlighted two extraordinary creations by Martin Katz:

  •  4 Carat Marquise D Flawless Diamond Pendant microset with pink and white diamonds, styled with a black velvet ribbon. Romantic, architectural, and subtly subversive—its design bridged historical opulence and contemporary edge.
  • Cabochon Ruby and Lavender Jade Ring: A sculptural showpiece with a whimsical, vine-like motif clutching a luminescent cabochon ruby with lavender jade microset with 285 rubies and diamonds. The effect was both bold and ethereal, capturing the theatricality of the evening.

The pendant’s pink and white diamonds cast a romantic glow reminiscent of the candlelit rooms of 18th-century Europe, while the ruby ring introduced a regal intensity that echoed the film’s visual world. Together, the pieces served not only to adorn but to amplify the fashion show —proof of Canonero’s own assertion that “period movies have more style.”

“I get inspiration from many sources, mainly artwork and photographs from different periods, [but] it is more about attitudes, Milena Canonero once told Vogue. “Period movies have more style.”

One hundred percent of ticket proceeds—as well as Vogue’s proceeds from an exclusive eight-piece Vogue World: Hollywood capsule designed by Fear of God’s Jerry Lorenzo—will go to the Entertainment Community Fund, a charity that supports actors, workers, and other creatives in the film industry. There will be a special focus on helping costume professionals—especially those impacted by the LA wildfires. Paramount Pictures has also pledged a donation to the E.C.F.
